Uses:
To treat sinusitis.
Preparation: The young leaves are boiled in water for about 15 minutes, while still hot, inhale as a vaporizer using a towel around the head.
Note: This tree was used for many years to make matches since its wood soft and burns really easy.

To stop bleeding. Liquid band aid. To assist people with hemophilia.
Preparation: Tap the tree when tide is coming in then apply fresh sap on affected area until bleeding stops. When used on big cuts, take a piece of bark and press against wound until bleeding stops.

N.C: Brosimun utile.
Uses:
To treat ulcer, gastritis, and general stomach problems.
Preparation: Just tap the tree when tide is coming in, the sap is then boiled and sit for a while until the thick part concentrates on top, throw this part away so the rest of the milk does not coagulate.
Dose: One table spoon first thing in the morning for few days until symptoms disappear

Uses: To treat asthma, headaches.
Preparation and Dose: For asthma, 20 inches of bark boiled in two liters of water, then inhale the steam while still hot using a towel around the head. For headaches, boil a few leaves in two liters of water for 5 to 10 minutes, let it sit for a while until cool, and then apply as a poultice on front head.
