Uterus is also known as the womb and is a thick muscular, hollow, pear shaped organ located between the pelvis and the rectum.
The Uterus is the place were eggs are fertilized and then the egg develops into a fetus. Once the egg becomes a fetus the Uterus increases into the abdominal cavity.
There are 3 layers (the outer / perimetrium, Middle /myometrium, internal / endometrium)
