Glycyrrhiza is also known as: Papilionaceae


The Glycyrrhiza (aka Papilionaceae) plant is very powerful and patients should Consult a MD or professional ND prior to use.

The roots and stolons of the Glycyrrhiza (aka Papilionaceae) are thought to treat Addison’s disease, Asthma, bronchitis, coughs, peptic ulcers and Arthritis.  Should not be used by pregnant women or people suffering from anemia, high Blood pressure, kidney disease or people taking digoxin based medicines.  Glycyrrhiza in excess will cause high Blood pressure.  Externally Papilionaceae may be used to treat Eczema, Herpes and shingles.
