Diaphoretic herbs increase blood flow throughout the body by dilating superficial capiliaries & blood vessels. Examples of these herbs include cayenne, Chamomile, hyssop, and Yarrow.

People with a rapid pulse usually need a relaxing diaphoretic.

Should not be used with cathartics because this could cause the body to lose too much of its fluids.

Other diaphoretics include:

angelica, anise, bayberry, black cohosh, black currant, catnip, dill, Enchinacea, elder, fennel, ginseng, Hops, horehound, kava quaver, lemon balm, mother wort, Peppermint, valerian, vervain, & Wormwood.
