False Unicorn is native to the United States, east of the Mississippi. This herb has been used for centuries by Native American tribes as a cure all herb. Valuable "normalizing" herb for gynecological problems involving the Uterus and ovaries. Root helps regulate the release of hormones by the ovaries. Used for menopause, ovarian cysts, uterine infections, menstrual problems, endometriosis, morning sickness, and to prevent miscarriage. Also good for Cough, Colic, Stomach upset, intestinal worms, and Fever. Herb is considered a diuretic. The False Unicorn is becoming scarce in the wild. Requires moist, rich, well-drained soil in partial shade. Seeds need cold treatment to germinate. Ht. 30-60cm/1-2ft.
Although this herb should be avoided when pregnant, there are no serious side effects reported.
