Polyphenols found in red wine help to lower cholesterol, blood pressure and prevent blood clots. New study suggests wine may even increase blood flow to brain... Have a side of 4 ounces of fatty fish with that Wine and you may reduce the chances of having a heart attack by 37%. Yup. According to Ralph Felder, MD, the omegas in Fatty fish reduce inflammation in the arterial walls and keep blood flowing to the brain. Eating fish high in Omegas two times and week may reduce your chances of having a thrombotic stroke by 51%. Not bad! If Salmon makes your stomach turn (i use to be the same way), try it grilled with a little pepper... Nothing short of awesome. Finally, top the meal off with fruit... the Journal of Circulation said people over the age of 60 who had 3 helping of veg's a day, had better brain power and memories than those who did not eat veg's. bananas, artichokes and other fruits loaded with potassium may help to ward off the ill effects of salt in our diet. All good stuff... i would write more but its 5pm and i have to pour myself a glass of brain super food. bye for now @herbalists
